The seminar will be held on Tuesday, 5 May in Rennes (France) in lecture theatre P at ISTIC, Beaulieu Campus
The British Society for Strain Measurement’s (BSSM) and the University of Rennes 1 organize a one-day seminar dedicated to flexible materials and large deformations. The BSSM sits at the interface between industry, academia and the wider engineering community and promotes their interaction to ensure the wide dissemination of new ideas and best practice in the field of engineering measurement.
The conference will offer industry and academia the opportunity to interact across three topics:
- full field measurement techniques for large deformations, especially Digital Image Correlation (DIC)
- the measurement of high strain gradient in flexible materials, typically at the crack tip of rubber
- identification of constitutive parameters from full-field kinematic data

Registration fees:
130€ TTC (including lunch and coffee breaks)
100€ TTC for students or BSSM members
